♥ scraptastic is turning 3 ♥

good evening.  the days, these summer days, how i love every second of them, and sometimes i even let them get away from me, that's what summer is all about right?  but tonight i wanted to share with you a very special celebration that will be happening this weekend.  one that you, too, can participate in and win fun prizes.

it's going to be SO much fun and we hope you'll have as much fun playing as we've had preparing.  and who doesn't want a free THREE MONTH SUBSCRIPTION?  so please make sure to take a little time out of your weekend to pop in and play with us.

speaking of Scraptastic Scrapbooking Kits the kits this month, July, were fabulous!  oh my, i just couldn't stop creating with them.  today i uploaded the last of my creations with the kits, using the SCRAPS, literally from the kit before putting away my new August, gorgeous kit that i received....gasp, that's all i'll say for now...wink.

JULY 2013 Rock Lobster Kit
(there are just a couple left)

here is a bookmark and picture tutorial i shared on the forum and some scraps cards and stash cards.

here's my bookmark that is now marking my spot where i will start again tonight

and here are the cards i created with the scraps and stash (papers, embellies and alphas from the JULY ROCK LOBSTER kit including a handmade embellie) and a couple of stickers from my stash

thank you soooo much for visiting me, your sweetest notes and friendship.

♥ hello monday ♥

and what a wonderful monday it is.  sunny, blue, crisp, slightly cooler skies and my babes talking in the background, i love days like these.  we will ride bikes, visit the library, finish some work, read, and maybe even picnic, i love summertime.  even when you do 'nothing' you're doing something, life is good♥

today i wanted to share some projects with you.  CHA is finished, everything's all boxed up and i am excited to begin sharing some stuff here.  also, i have another member birthday card over at Scraptastic Scrapbooking Kit forum and some Jillibean Soup cards and an October Afternoon blog post.  so let me keep the words to a minimum and just share new products i know you'll love.

let me start with a sneak peek of my post over on the October Afternoon blog

i'm up with Amy Heller with a new challenge and some new October Afternoon Daily Flash we'd love for you to pop in and say "hello"

and here is my card on the Jillibean Soup blog today, love the new Happy Camper Stew line

aren't these little guys soooo cute?  i {heart} them

and here is some of my projects using the new October Afternoon Public Library line

i also used the new October Afternoon Daily Flash roller stamps and i could not love these more, i use them on every page, OA or not.

and a card or two or three

 friends card

 hello friend card

 hello there card

and how about a bookmark, because it IS the PUBLIC LIBRARY after all.....giggle

where you "fell asleep" reading (picture of my son reading) bookmark

i don't know about you or your children, but we ALL fall asleep reading and so i wanted to create a bookmark for my son, because we are always putting in his bookmark when he falls asleep :)

and here is the card i created today using my leftover Project Life cards from Scraptastic Scrapbooking Kits Project Life  this month's JULY kit:  This Life Noted was absolutely packed full of supplies as i have shared on the blog here with my multiple spreads and  i still have a couple of journal cards left that didn't work for my amusement park week but work perfectly for cards, loooove.

aren't these Project Life cards just gorgeous? i love them!  this was created for a member's birthday today, so pop in and wish her a HAPPY BIRTHDAY

whew, i am sorry that i had such a long post, but it's been awhile since i had some free morning time, and needed to update this poor blog of mine.  i hope you have a wonderful monday, enjoying the summer where you are, love to you!

♥ Project Life This Life Noted ♥

hello!  i am sorry for my disappearance, CHA is such a busy, turn-around time of year and it makes it hard to keep the blog caught up as well.  but ALAS!  i am finished with my projects, Jillibean Soup and October Afternoon sent off and ready for the blog posts and  My Mind's Eye shipped and at the show, yay!  not all manufacturers will be showing at the summer show due to the cost of doing so, but their products are absolutely BEYOND i assure you, you will love creating with them.

and, since i have finished up with CHA, i was able to spend some time, up close and personal, with this month's Scraptastic Scrapbooking Project Life Kit

This Life Noted

isn't it fantastic?  this month's kit is no longer available BUT you can see the sneak peeks of the DELICIOUS august Project Life kit here

i don't do a "traditional" project life series, because i am constantly creating and constantly needing more space for my kids pics, the day's/event's story generally has FOUR kids involved and so the spread fills up quickly if i am going to be fair to the real story.  so my spreads may be a a weekly snapshot but more times than not you will see a day or two or trip or event that was extremely important to us and i want to get them all in on the spread.

whew, gabby this morning aren't i?  guess it's because i haven't been here in a wee bit, sorry.

love to you!

aren't these tapes absolutely the CUTEST?  i just love them!!

can i share a little secret and you WILL NOT tell?  i loooove the chalkboard look but was not willing to take the time to create them on my projects. no, i was not.

so the amazing Rhonna Farrer has yet again, created magic for us! yes, i love her designs more than anything, she's amazing!  bless her, she took care of this very busy mommy so i could just create away with chalkboard papers and embellies!  there's a special place for her in scrapbook heaven i tell ya.

you have to pop into the My Mind's Eye blog
to see the entire line, yes, even the 8 x 10 pieces waiting to be framed and that adorable banner, swooooon!

here is a collage of sneak peeks of cards i created with this new line.  since they haven't been released on the blog yet, i am just sharing sneak peeks of them for now.

♥happy camper stew blog hop♥

You should have arrived at my camper (a.k.a. my blog) via Cindy's Blog.

If you are coming down the trail and have come to my camper on the campground loop first, you may want to back-track the trail to start at the camp host HERE

Today, we are lucky to get to share with you the newest Jillibean Soup line, Happy Camper Stew.  It makes for a very "happy camper" here, indeed.  I have a TON of camping pictures and tons of outdoorsy friends (cards) so this is going to be an all-time fave of mine, hands down.

For the hop today, I thought I would share a layout I have just finished of my youngest, riding his trike around our campground loop.

Road Trip

This child did not stop the entire day, he was on his "road trip".  He rode and rode and rode his bike.  He even took his trike off the paved road onto the trails (but that's a layout for another day)

The 3 Parts Critters paper is SO much fun to cut and layer.  I cut pieces of the trees and layered them after cutting them from the 12x12 sheet, looove them!

Aren't these campers and critters the cutest?

Road Trip layout
supplies:

 Happy Camper Stew
patterned paper
4 Parts Great Outdoors, 3 Parts Critters, Dash of Danger
Pea Pods
cardstock stickers labels
cardstock stickers shapes
kraft tags
placemats hexagon white

MISC:  vellum, sequins, 3-D tape, machine stitching, twine, staples

The next stop on the hop is through the woods to Emily's Camper

Thank you for visiting me on the hop, don't forget to bring lots of water and your snacks, you don't want to break from the trail too long!

happy creating♥

♥ cupcards to go summer card kit part 2 ♥

hello.  are you having record-setting heat or down-pouring rain right now where you live?  we are burning hot here and it makes it a challenge to keep kids cool and relaxed.  my kids are allergic to the chemicals in our local swimming pool, they have to swim in fresh water or smaller hotel pools, the larger swim centers have to use more of the chemicals and it does not sit well with any of my boys.  so, to cool them down, we take them to various lakes and smaller pools, which is a little ways away.  i am very excited for all the fun picture-taking opportunities and memories this week, it's a week i won't soon forget.

sorry for rambling, but this has been a H*O*T week and am wondering what it's like where YOU are.

i am back to share some more cards from the gorgeous CupCards to Go Isabella Summer card kit.
i love everything about this kit, from the papers, to the embellies, to the washi, to the sentiments, it's all perfect!

i shared the first set of the cards created with the kit HERE

here's Isabella
(Part Two)

i love this fabric paper that is in the kit and used it on quite a few cards, fun to play with!

the challenge this month was to create a masculine birthday card using the supplies in our kit also.   using my guitar die and the embellies/papers from the kit, this card was fun to create.

my "hello" card was inspired by this month's sketch

instead of the strip of paper in front of the block of cardstock, i chose to cut my paper and create faux washi tape with it.  i kept the greeting the focal of the card and embellished it with the fun and happy papers.

i cut one of the happy birthday sentiments down to just read "hello" for this particular card.

and with my leftovers from the kit, i created hand-made embellies.  i like to create hand-made embellies before throwing out the very last tidbits of a kit that were too small so when i need a card, it is easy to adhere them to some cardstock and go.  i actually have a small box of just handmade embellies for that very purpose and use it all the time.

and here are three cards i created with them and the tag will be tied to a gift bag very soon

and a shaker card using some fun sequins i had in my stash

i hope you'll check out Isabella
for yourself, you will NOT be disappointed, it is packed FULL of fun supplies in order to create a LOT of cards!

thank you so much for visiting me and for your incredibly sweet notes!

happy creating♥
